Operation

An operator places the cabbage head on the pick-up plate with the stalk facing up. A visual checkpoint helps align the cabbages. The intermittent belt conveys the cabbages under the stalk drill, which is located in a protected position and
whose drilling depth is automatically adjusted to the size of the cabbage head. After drilling and further transport, the cabbages fall into the cutting machine or onto the subsequent transport technology.

Structure

The stump borer is designed as an independent machine. All required applications are connected with a stable metal frame. The most important elements are the intermittent feeding belt with the pick-up points for the cabbage heads and the stump borer. Optionally, the machine can be equipped with a blow-out device for the drill holes and a cabbage head divider.
