Operation

An operator places the cabbage head on the pick-up plate with the stalk facing down. The turntable transports the cabbage heads to the coring station. The stalk drill, which is located in a protected position and whose drilling depth is automatically adjusted to the size of the cabbage head, drills out the cabbage heads from below. The drilling residues are collected in a container below the drilling point. After the drilling process, the cabbage head is divided and transferred to subsequent transport technology or a post-cleaning belt.

Structure

The stump borer is constructed as an independent machine in hygienic design. All required applications are connected with a stable metal frame. The stump borer has a turntable on which the cabbage heads are placed, a boring station and a cabbage head divider. Optionally, the machine can be equipped with a finishing belt.
